As I spent 27 years growing up in Michigan, I searched for something to fill the empty void in my heart. Like many others, I thought the world (money, fashion, stock market, drugs) could fill that void. It wasn't until a family member exposed me to the truth that I realized what was really important. My brother took my girlfriend, Angela (who later became my wife), and me to a Calvary Chapel retreat in New York where we both gave our lives to Jesus Christ.

I attended Calvary Chapel of Oakland County through the insistence of my brother, and soon found myself attending regularly. What I liked about Calvary Chapel was the contemporary worship, expositional teaching, and the relaxed, casual atmosphere. Best of all the people had a genuine love for the Lord. I started serving in various ministries in the church and building my relationship with Jesus Christ. Later, Angela and I married and had two children, Joshua (19) and Caleb, who is now home with the Lord.

In December 1995, I started pastoring and became an ordained minister, which is truly my calling and passion. I am so blessed to be a part of Calvary Chapel Whitefish.

Calvary Chapel is a church that is directed to make disciples. Our primary ministry is the teaching of God’s Word. We combine this with Worship that is God-centered to lead people to Christ and encourage them to have a deeper relationship with Him!
